As a psychotherapist specializing in group therapy, I often hear the following comments and questions from clients in my practice:
“Group? Why Group?!”
o I like talking to you privately
o Why should I share my deepest darkest struggles with a bunch of strangers
o I already take care of others and not myself, won't group be the same?
o That’s too scary I don’t know what to expect
These are all understandable concerns and fair questions. So, why do I practice group therapy?
